Market surveillance
The Market Surveillance of BETP AD is an independent subsidiary authority of BETP market, monitoring on a daily basis the functioning of the market and the activities of the market members. It was established to ensure compliance with the Market Rules of BETP, to support the management and to control the activity of the market.
The Market Surveillance monitors the observation of the Market Rules with respect to the performance of trades, the proper trading on the BETP market, as well as to monitor the strict compliance with the provisions of the article 15 of Regulation (EU) No. 1227/2011 of the European Parliament and of the Council.
The Market Surveillance fully cooperates with the Energy and Water Regulatory Commission (EWRC) in order to ensure a harmonized, efficient and regulated trade. The Market Surveillance may transmit trade-related data to the EWRC, as the authority, responsible for the observation of the natural gas trade in Bulgaria and receive data from the EWRC, as long as this is necessary in order to ensure proper trading and settlement.
The Market Surveillance is independent in making its decisions and in the manner of organization and performance of its obligations.
The Market Surveillance carries out its activities in accordance with the Market Rules.
